When you’re buying an investment property, whether it’s your first or your 15th home, the rules are very different than when you’re purchasing your own.
But there are certain things investors can learn from owner-occupiers.
That this guide from RealEstate.com.au, for example: it lists 7 common first homebuyer mistakes.
While these are geared towards those who are buying a home to live in,
much of the advice rings true for us investors.
Case in point: “You can keep your emotions under control, and you have to if you want to make sure you’re not taken advantage of and so you’re able to spot issues and risks before you buy.”
To those who have read my books or attended my presentations – how many
times do I labour on this point?! I can be a broken record sometimes, but it’s always with your best outcome in mind!
Til next time, happy investing!
